Gunther will defend the illustrious Intercontinental Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura

After earning an Intercontinental Championship match by defeating Ludwig Kaiser, Shinsuke Nakamura will attempt to reclaim the t**le this week on SmackDown.

With Gunther looking as strong as he has in recent months as Intercontinental Champion, Shinsuke Namakura will need to give it his all to win the Championship for the third time. Nakamura will also have to keep an eye on Kaiser, who is sure to be a big factor in the fight.

First round of the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament: Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah vs. Xia Li and Shotzi

The Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament kicked off on Monday Night Raw when Dakota Kai and IYO SKY defeated 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke and Tamina. Now, the tournament continues on SmackDown with Raquel Rodríguez and Aliyah taking on Shotzi and Xia Li.

Shotzi and Li have been on the same page for the past few weeks and may have an advantage as they have the most chemistry heading into the match.

However, Rodriguez brings incredible intensity and is coming off a strong showing in the Gauntlet Match, in which she took down four other Superstars before losing to Shayna Baszler in the final match.

Liv Morgan and Shayna Baszler will sign their match contract at Clash at the Castle

With just three weeks to go before their showdown at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales, SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan and Shayna Baszler will sign the contract to make their match official.

Baszler earned the right to face Morgan by besting six other Superstars in a Gauntlet Match last week on SmackDown. Now, Shayna faces a weakened and vulnerable Morgan, whose arm was brutally mangled at the hands of Ronda Rousey, both during and after their t**le match at SummerSlam.
