Last year, CM Punk appeared at a Cage Fury Fighting Championships event. He made this appearance after being suspended by AEW. CM Punk sometimes works as a commentator for this MMA company.
His table mates readily agreed when Punk jokingly said they wouldn’t want him in their locker room for a new wrestling promotion. Reference, of course, to his brawl with The Elite, marking the end of his first stage in AEW.
It took seven months for Punk to return to AEW, appearing on Tony Khan’s staged second stage. He had his own program called Collision and received support from those who still believed in him. But again, his attitude took its toll, and today, Punk looks even closer to than returning to the Elite House.
CM Punk plays with the Survivor Series.
Last night, Cage Fury Fighting Championships updated Punk’s status at their CFFC 125 event almost two weeks after he was released. This was his first time on TV since AEW All In. He took the chance to tease his followers and the media, saying he will be doing much in November.
Punk knows the Survivor Series is happening on November 25 at the Allstate Arena in Rosamond, near Chicago. People have been discussing his possible comeback to at this event. If you have already done the math, there are over two months left.
We are unaware, however, of the existence of an anticompetitive clause. Recently, Dave Meltzer commented on the possibility that Punk would have to wait a year to wear his boots again.
